There are times in a photographer’s life when action outpaces preparation. Such was the case with this image of a common seagull, about to land on the wharf at Cape Saint Mary’s. I was just walking down the wharf, intending to get a shot of the boat shops over on the shore, when this seagull swooped down in front of me. I grabbed a quick shot and moved on. It was only when I got home and started processing the shoot that I realized that this image, blurred in every way, still had a lot to say. I hope you agree.
