This is the second half of an ancient British rhyme, used to teach weather warnings. In Britain it was used by shepherds, but in North America it has always been associated with sailors. It has been my observation however that here in Nova Scotia a red sky in the morning does not necessarily mean bad weather ahead. According to the latest meteorological forecast, this beautiful sunrise marks the beginning of thee days of sunshine and fine weather.
