Mountain Ash, Sorbus sorbus, also known in the UK as Rowan, is part of a genus of small trees and shrubs in the rose family. In the fall they produce vast quantities of deep red berries in clusters. We always think of the spectacular colours of the changing leaves in fall, but berries like those on the Mountain Ash add to that colour in no small part. Long-lasting when cut, they are often used in Autumn and Christmas wreathes.
