Back in the ’60’s a brash young sailor in His Majesty’s Royal Canadian Navy found himself in Honolulu. What to do? Get a tattoo of course! I walked into the best tattoo shop in the State, Sailor Jerry’s. I picked out what I wanted and went up to the counter. “Come back in an hour,” I was told. Here I am 40 years later and I’ve always regretted not going back. This week I finally “went back.” This is almost the exact same tattoo I wanted back then, with a couple of modern twists. Check one more thing off the “bucket list.”
